  • Heidi Nichole

    MARKETING DIRECTOR

My name is Heidi and, like so many other women, Breast Implant Illness (BII) has affected my life.

At the age of 23, I chose to get Saline, Mentor smooth breast implants. It’s a common misconception that only “silicone” implants are linked to Breast Implant Illness.

My happiness, ability to function, as well as the chances of having my own family one day diminished as my symptoms got worse. I lost the prime of my life to Breast Implant Illness and have become passionate about warning and helping other women avoid what I went through. It’s time these Silent Killers come out of the shadows and into the light so women can be aware of the risks of ALL breast implants.

I’ve chosen to do my part to spread the word by using my own pedicab business, Fly By Pedal Cab, to spread awareness of the massive number of women that have been adversely affected by breast implants.

I’ve been drawing attention to the issue in and around Austin in a fun way, by baring it all, advertising on my pedicabs and spreading awareness on social media.

  • Lisa Haskins-Pearson

    RESEARCH DIRECTOR

Lisa is a Breast Implant Illness Warrior and Cancer Survivor that successfully used functional and alternative approaches to overcome her illnesses. After removing her Mentor, Saline, Smooth breast implants with a cancerous tumor in 2008, she spent years battling unexplained symptoms and rare diseases.

In February, 2023, Michigan Activist and Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Shaher Khan of Executive Plastic Surgery, performed a residual capsulectomy and discovered the capsules of the implants Lisa thought were removed in 2008 had been LEFT IN HER BODY instead. The videotaped surgery showed scraping of the 9.5 x 9.5 cm and 8 x 6.5 cm masses off 4 ribs to remove as many toxins from her body as possible. Since then, she's been healing tremendously, but removing the residual silicone in her body is an on-going process.

Lisa’s past work as a Vice President in a hospital and award winning HR Executive have provided in-depth experience in statistical analysis and correlations. She is currently founding a non-profit with the goal of facilitating research for an Integrative Approach alongside “traditional” practices and the development of protocols that are proven effective in healing from this isolating and extremely painful illness.
